Cloud Shelves

I like this little cloud shelf from DesignTorget. I’m not sure how much it costs or if you can get it in the U.S., but I had to put it up.
There is also one shaped like a castle:

Wow. I am in love with this duikers fabric from skinnylaminx’s Etsy shop. It costs $14 a quarter metre.
I learned about it from a sofa before and after on Design Sponge.

The sofa was upholstered by a furniture and design studio in Austin, Tx called Spruce.
A duiker is a small antelope, in case you didn’t know. (I didn’t.)

I thought this Chalk-it-to-me Piggy Bank was pretty cute. It is made from a pigmented ceramic that you can use as a chalkboard. That way, you can draw on the piggy or write a reminder of what you’re saving for. $60 from Ladies and Gentleman. (Via The Sub-studio Design Blog)
ETA: If $60 seems a lot for this particular bank, you can always get a piggybank from the thrift store and spray it with chalkboard paint.

I am digging the humor in this cheat sheet placemat, which gives you a diagram of a properly laid table. I could use it at Christmas, since I never can remember which direction the knife should be facing. (Toward the plate, toward the plate, toward the plate…)
I’m not sure if these placemats are still available, but they were last seen for purchase here. (Via SwissMiss)

This is The Mirrorcube, an almost invisible tree house you can stay in in Sweden. The mirrors reflect the surroundings, creating a camouflage to hide the tree house.

According to the hotel’s site, the cube has been coated with a film that birds can see to keep them from flying into it. Here’s the inside:

The bummer part: it costs over $4,000 a night to stay in this hotel. That’s a lot of dough to spend the night in a mirror-covered cube, but it’s still way cool, none-the-less. (Via Yahoo)

I like this quirky gun vase from Suck UK. It’s ceramic and shaped like three barrel-to-barrel pistols. $50 from Uncommon Goods.
There is also a wall-mounted version for $30:

I saw this lunch sack in a store yesterday and loved it. It made me want to bring a lunch to work, even though I work at home.
The lunch sack “features full insulation, a hook-and-loop closure, interior card for ID information and a convenient handle strap. ” Not to mention the cool vintage alphabet pattern on the outside.

A sock monkey pet bed! Perfect for a dog or a cat.
I wish I had known about this pet bed before I bought the one I have. I am sure my cats would love it.

I like the looks of this little desk called The Ledge by Urbancase. It is 42″ x 18″ x 7″ and can be installed on any wall. It has a tray that comes out that you can put a laptop or media player on, and it has a hole in the back for a plug to come out.

As far as furniture for a small space goes, this isn’t as good as the murphy desk, but it is very stylish and could provide a small workspace where there wasn’t one before. And it also comes in red:

I like this, but I think it is astronomically overpriced at $1,500. Still, do you notice The Ledge is about the size of a bureau drawer? If you ask me, this could serve for some mighty fine DIY inspiration. (Via Design Milk)

This is brilliant. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before? (Or maybe they have?) It’s a door knob shapes like a hand. Called the Hand-le, it’s designed by Naomi Thellier de Poncheville. It’s just begging to shake your hand. (Via Apartment Therapy.)
