Watermelon On A Stick

A simple way to serve watermelon is to put it on a stick. There’s something ingenious about taking a messy piece of melon and putting it on a stick, making it even more summery and popsicle-like than it was before.

One option is to simply insert the stick into the rind.

Chef Tess Bakeresse froze the watermelon before inserting the sitck, making these appealing watermelon pops.

It looks like Chef Jason Wilson added flavor to watermelon cubes by sprinkling with pepper and some kind of herb (mint?).

Finally, this site suggests you use cookie cutters and make shapes out of the watermelon, which you then put on a stick.

Hurrah! These will make great appetizers for a Fourth of July party or any other summer barbeque.
