Watermelon On A Stick

A simple way to serve watermelon to guests is to put it on a stick. There’s something ingenious about taking a messy piece of melon and simply adding a stick, making it even more summery and popsicle-like as a long time. And it’s an appetizer that doesn’t take long to make, either. Here are some different ways to do it:

The Family Kitchen simply inserted the stick into the rind.

Chef Tess Bakeresse froze the watermelon before inserting the sitck, making these appealing watermelon pops.

It looks like Chef Jason Wilson added flavor to watermelon cubes by sprinkling with pepper and some kind of herb (mint?).

Finally, Hot and Healthy Mom suggests you use cookie cutters and make shapes out of the watermelon, which you then put on a stick.

Hurrah! These will make great appetizers for a Fourth of July party or any other summer barbeque.
