Turn A Lightbulb Into A Vase

Next time your lightbulb burns out (assuming you’re still using the old kind and not Compact Fluorescent bulbs), try turning it into a vase. Here’s a tutorial that explains how to remove the insides of the lightbulb and glue a washer on the bottom so it will stand up.

And alternative is to make hanging vases like so:

To do this, a couple of tutorials suggest you saw off the end of the light bulb and poke holes in the sides to lace wire through.

The results are pretty, but if you do try to saw the end off a lightbulb, make sure to wear hand and eye protection.
